He has been involved in various aspects of public safety and emergency services for over 30 years. He started his career as an EMT and transitioned to law enforcement. He currently serves as a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator in Morristown, NJ. Prior to his role at Atlantic Health, Steve was a national Disaster Director with the American Red Cross. He is member of the American Red Cross National Incident Management Team and the New Jersey State AHIMT. North Coalition LeaderTom Calimano, CEM, is director of emergency management for Hackensack University Medical Center, where he oversees emergency preparedness initiatives for the facility. He has held emergency management roles in both the healthcare and governmental sectors.He holds numerous emergency management certifications including his CEM from the International Association of Emergency Managers. He remains an active paramedic and has served on numerous committees including the International Public Safety Associations Rescue Task Force Committee and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. North Coalition Clinical AdvisorDr. Ammundeep Tagore, a native Texan, is associate medical director for RWJBH Mobile Health EMS and serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Rutgers N.J. Medical School. He is board certified in emergency medicine with a subspecialty in EMS and disaster medicine. He also serves as the associate program director for the EMS and Disaster Medicine Fellowship and core teaching faculty for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and trains physicians pursuing a specialty in emergency medicine and EMS/disaster medicine. Dr. Tagore also has the ability, when requested, to bring the emergency room to the scene with his physician response vehicle as part of MD1, a 24/7 Physician Response Unit.
